This girl I'm talking to tells me real Italian's don't eat sauce from a bottle, like Ragu etc.. Is this true?
I think she might just be a bit crazy. I'm pretty sure everyone loves Classico sauce, no?

Hi
i want to learn italian
what is the easiest way to learn it?? because i have never learnt another language before
Thanks
Chelsey
I have to take a few classes for my degree.
I would love to work in the fashion business in the future and I'm wondering which language should I learn, italian or french? I think it would be easier to learn italian, because I'm Spanish. What do you think? Gracias!
I speak English and Italian, and am currently learning German.
I want to perhaps start on another romance language, studying it alongside German, but I don't want it to be too difficult. Spanish and French are generally regarded as some of the "easier" languages for English speakers to learn - and I imagine being 'close' to fluent in Italian would probably help me there - but I don't know which one to go with.
So first of all I want to ask, how do Spanish and French compare with Italian in terms of grammar, syntax, verb conjugation etc? Which language has a vocabulary closest to Italian (I've often heard that French has more words closer to Italian, but French pronunciation tends to make them sound very different to their Italian counterparts, whereas Spanish is more similar)? Which one would be easier for me to learn?
Merci
Gracias

Thanks
PS: If you happened to be one of those odd creatures that spoke all three of these romance languages, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Iv tried using translator's but they are all different. The best I could get is "Nello vite ćè solo morte, in modo vivere finché puoi". Im a little bit italian but no one in my family that is alive can speak it fluently.
Edit: whats does adding farlo mean/do?
watching the way they talk in movies like Goodfellas, this seems a real possiblilty.

"I'm really nice so don't be afraid to talk to me."
"I don't write for recognition. I write because I really enjoy it."
I would really appreciate it.
If there isn't an EXACT translation, anything close will do (:
I'd like to learn a language by myself in my free time and my first choice is French; second-Italian. I dont have time to attend classes.
I heard that Italian is easier to learn because of the pronunciation, but French is spoken more widely than Italian. Also if I learn Italian, it might be easier to learn Spanish and Portuguese. I'd also like to go to Canada someday and French might come in handy if I'm in Montreal. So should I choose the useful French or easier Italian?
My best friend and I are looking into getting a tattoo of "best friends" in italian. The only problem is I am a female and he is a male. Would we still both use the "migliori amici"?
Is "migliori amici" also used for plural "best friends" or is there a way in italian to pluralize it? BTW Thank you so much for your help!
I'm italian and i'm looking for someone that wants to help me to speak English. This is my msn contact: sissione@hotmail.it I just want to talk to train my english!

I speak fluent Spanish, and Italian just sounds like a glorified version of Spanish.
Ever since my grandparents had talked in Italian behind my back when I was much younger, i have wanted to learn Italian. My high school never had Italian classes, nor did the college I had gone to for a couple semesters. I'm not sure that trying to learn Italian from a book on my own is a good way neither.
So I had thought about an Italian pen pal, but I can't seem to find anyway to get an Italian pen pal.
Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find an Italian pen pal or ways to learn Italian for free that is more engaging then a book?
I am determined to learn both Languages, Ive been trying to study them both at the same time but I found its not helping, so I want to start out by learning one first and then the other.
Which one would be easier to learn first?
Also Spanish is my native language if that helps.
Thanks.
I am getting a tattoo with my siblings and we are all of Italian descent, but do not speak the language. We want it to say "Nothing is stronger than the love of family."
However, when I translate this quote online, it gives me two different translations. I want it to make sense in the language and be grammaticallyy correct.....so......please let me know how to say it properly, or if it is either one of these translations.
1) nulla è più forte l'amore della famiglia
2) niente non è più forte dell'amore di famiglia
my whole family is Italian, and when they speak Italian I can fully understand what they're saying but it gets fustrating because I can't fully join in the conversation, I can only say little words and sentences. I can read and write it too, the only thing I can't do is speak it. What should I do? thank you in advance.
How many countries speak this language by the way?
I am pretty, or so ive been told alot i have blue eyes brown hair im 5 8 and i have an italian booty!
Hey Everybody!
Okay, so I know this is a really dumb question, considering the fact that I'm Canadian, and French is like our second language. But I don't know it :/ Is French hard to learn? Are there online institutions I can learn french properly from? Is it generally a tough language to grasp?
Also, I'm so so interested in learning Italian? How hard is that? Online institutions for Italian? Is it a touch language to get a hold of?
