I currently read the ESV of the Bible, and I also appreciate the NASB. I am looking for an Italian translation that faithfully renders the original Hebrew and Greek; preserves some of the historic vocabulary of the Scriptures (like "justification" and "propitiation"); and, preferably, feels the flow of "la bella lingua." Any comments would be much appreciated!

We talk to each other online every day and I love his company. He asked me to visit Italy and stay with him, but I declined... I don't take risks like that! He wants to stay in England, but I can't host him.
What's the best thing to do next? I feel lost. I genuinely like the guy's mind. I haven't come across anyone like him before and I know we could become really great friends if not more.

I am doing some research before taking the plunge and getting a tattoo. There is a phrase I am trying to correctly translate for this purpose. It is "BUILD YOUR WINGS". I have played around with multiple online translators and even tried to conjugate the phrase myself... however I seem to come up with a few different results. If someone who is a fluent Italian speaker could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Her doctors say she will need to stay in the hospital for probably another week, maybe more.
I wish you were here.

I will be helping with a group going to Italy in two years to study art. I would love to find a book that combines the art history of Italy (from Rome to the Renaissance to Expressionism to Modern art) and suggested places to visit for travelers. Also, if at all possible, it would be really great to find something that explores multiple mediums, from oil paintings, to sculpture, to even architecture. Can anyone help me out? DVDs or websites would also help!

Okay, I'm going to be performing this song with one of my friends. It's called The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. Celine sings mostly in English, but there is a verse, and some parts in the song where they sing together in Italian. I've been trying to listen to them and learn it but it's not going through my head
I hope this isn't too much to ask, but I was hoping someone could write out the sounds for me EXAMPLE: Hola=OH-LA.If it's possible. Thank you so much in advance if someone ends up doing this for me <3
Here are the parts :
Part 1 :
Sogniamo un mondo senza più violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno lo dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace, di fraternità
Part 2 :
È la fede che
Hai acceso in noi,
Sento che ci salverà

I'm learning Italian, and I'm about 2 and a half weeks in. I'm learning relatively quickly; I know the first, second, and third present tense conjugations, articles, pronouns, a good amount of adjectives, numbers, basic phrases, and about two dozen verbs (both irregular and regular). Should I continue w/ my focus mainly on vocabulary, or should I move on to more complicated things, like participles, the different tenses, etc.? Thanks.

I am after this quote as a tattoo but would obviously need the correct translation.
I have found a number of sources pointing to this translation being correct but if anyone is fluent/native speaking Italian and knows what the phrase "What goes around, comes around" is in Italian, then please let me know
What I found:
Ciò che è andato, arriva intorno

If I'm in a convo with a big group/ phone/ classroom, I will talk with my hands VERY VERY BIG. I'm not Italian so don't say that. People think it's funny but I do it allll the time. I cant look at people in the eye when I'm talking to them because I stutter or I mix words out of order. Why do I have these bad habits?

I'm trying to learn Italian from a CD set, the speakers do it on about every word, but my friend told me Italians don't really speak like that. Which is correct?
So the speakers on the CD are correct then. Next question, tips on how to roll an r immediately before a "D" (example: dacordo)?

I mean, except in pronunciation, Italian and French are even more similar than Italian and Spanish. They share 89% of their vocabularies and the grammar is even more similar than those of Spanish and Portuguese. Do you know if they come from the same variety of Latin, while Spanish and Portuguese evolved from another variety?

My old accounts contain significant consitutional prose and some non-trivial ideas about physics amongst other personal emails and drafts; the system sends me on a run around asking for "valid" information; who do I talk to to get at the very least an email sent to my original (unattacked) email address ?
( I have some reason to believe that *very* unfriendly attackers have hijacked some of my accounts - at least one of my old hotmail accounts is now operating in italian by some complete stranger!)

i want to learn Italian from this summer to next summer really well. i will be taking Italian lessons but i want to practise during the summer to get a decent knowledge of it. i dont want a programme that is only for people travelling to italy, but to eventually learn natively. i also find it very hard to remember things, so a programme which focuses on memory would be helpful.
what would be the best software to purchase?
