The various ways you can go about learning to talk Italian
if you said "Ti voglio tanto molto" to someone who speaks fluent italian, would it make sence to them or sound weird?...

"Ti voglio tanto molto" is not correct.
You can say "Ti voglio bene" (I love you) or "Ti voglio tanto bene" (I love you so much).
You can use both with family, friends, or with your lover.
"Ti amo" (I love you) is not to be used with friends or family.
You should say ‘ti voglio bene’ because tanto and molto have the same meaning.
Ti volgio bene = I really want you

so FIRST, you must remember that you can use "tanto" OR "molto", they have the same meaning, BUT you can’t use it both together, it’s like double "very much very" (in english you can’t say it, and in italian you can’t say "tanto molto",probably you can "tanto tanto " or "molto molto" like "very very much").
regarding the meaning "ti voglio tanto" means "i want you so much"
if you want to say "i love you " there are 2 different ways, according their "stronger meaning".
for example: if you refer to your friends, relatives, parents, sister you can say "ti voglio (tanto) bene" (slang among teenagers "t.v.b." )
if you want to express your love to your lover to your boyfriend or girlfriend, in italian you’ve to say "ti amo".

maybe you mean ti voglio tanto bene or ti voglio molto bene (I love you so much)
tanto and molto are the same thing.
