how could i learn Italian on my own?
i'm in a small community. living on an indian reservation. i know they're are some type of online teacher tool that could help. my ex he learned many languages on his own simply by reading and studying the text. Watching movies in that language and etc, etc..he was supposed to teach me Italian but, we split before he had a chance. What type of books, dictionaries, and anything that would help me. Thanks.

I actually searched this question and your question came and I read some of the other answers.
Live mocha is actually very good it is like rosseta stone… You have to make an account….I also want to learn and I’m learning Italian too.
I did make an account on Live mocha and it’s very good for me.
There is also:
Sharedtalk.com
Penpals.com
ICQ.com
Thats all I can think of so far and that I know.

Just copy what your ex did when he learned languages.
Buy dictionaries, Verb books, grammar books and you can buy CD’s as-well; to help you. Also go to bbc.co.uk/languages they have a great Italian section on there.
But the only effective way of learning a language is to LIVE IN ITALY for a while. honestly you will pick it up so fast.
Good luck and hope you become fluent.

You probably heard of rosetta stone learning languages, it has very similar way of learning with pictures and phrases. I found it very useful. Good luck!
go to a library and ask a librarian!! They might know some useful resources for you!!
