I have been learning Italian, along with English and German back in high-school. (I’m not living in English-speaking country).
English was the easiest – we are all surrounded by it, we hear it in almost all movies.
German was the hardest – it’s… just hard.
Italian, on the other hand, was relatively easy for me, as it’s soft and a little bit like a song.
Conclusion – Italian is one of the easiest languages. Of course, that depends on whether you take that learning seriously or not. I hope I’ve helped
Since you already know French, the basics of Italian should be easy: same basic verb structure, two genders, adjective agreement etc.
Pronunciation in Italian is almost completely phonetic as compared to English and French.

Everybody thinks Spanish is the easiest language to learn. It’s one of the best-kept secrets that Italian is easier. The only tricky part is the prepositions, which seem to follow no rules.
