Hi! im from mexico and i know spanish, i can tell you that italian and spanish are very similar, but i think that spanish is easier… i know both…
io parlo lo spagnolo e l’italiano sono molto simili, ma penso che sia più facile in spagnolo, suerte
Both languages are fairly easy to learn, both Spanish and Italian. No matter which you decide to learn, I’d definitely recommend using Tell Me More software, they are fantastic, they have 2000 hours of language learning and interactive video and a 24/7 online adviser, and I did some checking around and they always seem to get much higher marks than Rosetta Stone and other software packages that teach languages. Definitely check them out, I love mine.
They are both Latin based and very similar. Neither is hard if you apply yourself.
Both.
yea spanish is def. easier
To learn the basic correct grammar and vocabulary, etc., they’re the same.
To actually learn to use the language, I would say Italian is "easier" only because it’s pretty much only spoken in one little country, whereas Spanish is spoken all over a fairly large continent — South America, of course — and some colonies as well as Spain and some other places. The variation in the dialect alone could be hard.
Although, since it’s far more common, there are a lot more resources available to learn Spanish than Italian.
I’ve only studied a little of both, but I also noticed that it seems to be easier to guess the genders of nouns in Italian.
Also, the only phonetic sound that could be hard to pronounce for English speakers is the "r," and, depending on the dialect, Spanish also has the "d," "v," "j/g" sounds, which are a little different from the English counterparts.
