I know common phrases and stuff, but I want to expand my vocabulary, be able to hold conversations with people, and in the end, become fluent in it. I've completed all of these videos and know them like the back of my hand: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=travellinguist&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_676593#g/c/637428AC93A6A99A
How do I expand? I don't even know how to even approach this. Thanks for your time!

For the last five days I have been trying to talk to the Lost & Found office of AIR ONE - This is the worst aitline in the world. Not only do they lose your bags but NEVER answer their phones (or are always busy). Is there anyone in the Yahoo universe that can help me talk - directly or indirectly - to somebody - anybody - at the lost and found office of AIR ONE? I only need somebody who knows somebody so that I can get through the phones that they answer.
HELP please, many thanks.

I have been told its off-color but I need to know the figurative & literal translation. I bought my teenage daughter a shirt on a recent trip to Italy. I was told by the store clerk this meant something like "material girl" which I'd be OK with, but I need to know. Another person who knows a lot of Italian told me it was inappropriate for my daughter but wouldn't tell me what it meant. Online translations have not provided any insight, so I'd appreciate some help from someone with a knowledge of Italian slang.

I'm going to Rome in March 2007 to run the marathon in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It would be great if I could learn the basics of Italian by then. I'm fluent in French so I do have a head-start in the romance language arena.

I am a Chinese-Canadian Girl and volunteered in the BC World Police & Fire Games 2009. I have met athletes all over the world in over 66 countries. I was friendly to each individiual, however; this one guy who is an Italian Firefighter seems to treat my differently as oppose to the rest of his Italian team. I bumped into him in a different event after I met him in the first one with a brief hi chat, and he is having difficulty speaking English to me, but still tries. He winked at me several times the 2nd meeting, and on our 3rd day we saw each other he kissed both my cheeks (which felt awkward because North Americans DO NOT do this), he later asked for my e-mail. Is he just being a charming friendly Italian or is he actually into me? HELP PLEASE

I was told florence is boring at night with not much to do after you've seen all the art stuff, but I don't know if it's good to learn italian in milan. I don't want to go to Rome because my girl friends told me that the men there are very rude and impolite always cat calling & hassling women on the street. So I guess it's either milan or florence. Which one should I choose?

I learned some spanish back in high school, so I do have some language experience. I've heard that can make the process a bit easier. I'd love to learn italian, as a hobby; just for the heck of it & to expand my knowledge. but I'm worried it will be super hard. And what's the best way to go about learning it-- Books/cds, etc?

I'm looking for more of a real on line class through a school, or Italian Language course I can take rather then one of those books or CD (which I already have) I think it would help me to have a deadline to work with to motivate me to actually sit down & learn. Where do I look? Can anyone suggest an on line school or On line Course that offers the Italian language? Thanks!
Thank you! Well the reason want an on line course is because I'm a stay at home Mom to my 2 kids (both under 2) so I don't really have the time to leave & be away. An on line course would least would allow me the flexibilitly of being able to learn & study at home while my kids are playing or down for a nap & I would still be here with them.
