Hi. I am an Italian-born.
I am a Sophomore, 16 years old.
I lived in Italy for 14 years and did the elementary and middle schools.
I came in America 1 year and 8 months ago.
When I will go to college there are any possibilities that i could be working as a teacher or co-teacher in that subject (considering the college i may going to has the Italian language as an academic areas of study)? Thanks for the help.

Do Italian Women like black men?(I am a black man in college considering taking a course in italian [language].)
i am contemplating taking this course but I REFUSE to take it if ITALIAN WOMEN [as a whole; the MAJORITY] won't give black men the time of day because of my skin color.
Thanks to Eurocentricism in history, the demonizing and emasculation of the manhood of black men [in the U.S. especially] and the Denegration of black people as a whole, AND THE MEDIA...
BLACK MEN ARE NOT PORTRAYED IN A POSITIVE LIGHT WITH THE MEDIA ...SO THIS CROSSES OVER WHEN WE ATTEMP TO TALK TO WOMEN OF A DIFFERENT COLOUR AND/OR CULTURE

I know that this is America, and the official language is English, but in many ethnic communities, you'll always hear persons that can speak another language other English at home. Most Italian Americans that Ive known can only speak English, and not Italian.
It seems that only their ancestors could speak Italian, and not 21 Italian Americans.I ask this question because,I was always
interested in Italian culture of America with the Italian language
of America today.
Mexicans,Puerto Ricans,Asians, and some Africans have their
language, but not Italians, and I think Italians along with Greeks,
were more ethnic than most Caucasian Americans.
Italian is a beautiful language, but in my opinion, there are no Italian-Americans that can speak Italian.

Hi everybody! I graduate from high school in two years and I'd like to go to study in Italy. But almost all italian universities have programs only in italian language. It's very beautiful language actually, and I'm quite able studying languages, but I really can't spend money on teachers, special courses etc. Do you think it's possible to know the language fluently learning only by myself with a help from the internet, of course, and any other measures without taking classes?

Ok so I am of Italian heritage and I can speak very little Italian. But I am very proud of my heritage and I want to learn more of the Italian language. I hope to one day be pretty fluent. I plan on getting rossetta stone soon and I am studying different books. But I know I wont do well until I can actually talk to people who can speak Italian (I am an immersion learner when it comes to languages). Is there any safe chat rooms where I will be tolerated as a beginner when it comes to speaking Italian. but I can still learn from and talk with Italian speakers

I am a second generation Spanish American and I grew up speaking Spanish at home. However, I don't understand why most Italian Americans in New York don't speak the Italian language. Has their culture somehow died in the past generations?

I'm trying to learn Italian, so I find it helpful to memorize songs in the language I'm learning. Anyways, I'm looking for a couple of songs that are not so hard to learn and are not so long. I prefer the songs to me romantic or a fun song that does not have any bad things in it. Or maybe some disney songs. Romantic songs are more prefered. Thanks
I really prefer if the song is in the Italian language.

Guys, I have a problem... Since i was a a kid... 6 years-old maybe, when people know that I'm italian, they come with that shit talking: "Bon giorno bambino" " Do you like pizzas and spaguetti?" " Mama mia", they start shakeing their hands up and forth, or they ask me to say something in Italian language. I'm not 17, and I've been hearing this shit talking and steoreotypes way too long... Pizza = Italy? Wrong............ there's also canneloni, lasagna .. spaguetti, not every italians talk shakeing their hands, and not every italians are fat, and not every italians work to mafia... Wtf, what shall I do? Hear the comments and continue the talking or punch them in the face? It's annoying still hearing it after 17 years... but i'm still proud of beeing italian, of course (Btw, I don't live in Italia, but in US)

It is a song called Ninna Nanna a Michele, from The Godfather Part 2. It is the song that the man on the steps sings while Vito Coreleone and his family are sitting together. I would love to know the words in Italian/Sicilian and also english. But more importantly Italian. I don't understand some of the words.
If you don't know the song but you actually speak the Italian language or Sicilian dialect, this is the song that I love. Thank you so much!

Would an American film that contains mostly Italian-language dialogue would be considered as a foreign film under AMERICAN film standards? This film contains both English and Italian. The actors had to learn the Italian language in the scenes that were needed. This film was directed and produced in America. There is 3 producers. The director is American and he is also one of the producers. The other producer is Italian and the other is hispanic. If this were to be distributed for the Oscars or Golden Globes, would this film be categorized as a Foreign Film?
