I have an Italian passport/ I am a resident, but I live in South Africa, my mom is from Italy. I am a 19 year old male and would like to enroll, but understand a bit of Italian and can only speak a little bit. So yeah do I need to be fluent in Italian to join?

Also is there a proper English version of their military website, as I always get error when I click on it.

Thank You.
Sorry: Do I have to necessarily speak Italian to join the Italian military? **
I would like to be part of the Italian airborne if they have, if not just infantry.

Im 15 and from what i heard, the younger you are the better you can retain a new language, I am already about 50-60% fluent in spanish which will help a little bit with Italian. Would Rosetta Stone be helpful? I really want to be able to speak and understand what people say when I go back to Italy for 3 months next summer, so I have just about a year, if I study about an hour every weekday and maybe 2 hours on saturday, will I be able to at least understand and speak a decent amount of Italian?
By this I mean, how long (months, years?) will it take to understand most (80-90%), not all italian and be able to hold a conversation with a true italian?

how to talk to your mom about her cooking…?

alright soo i dont mean any disrespect, i mean i love my mom's cooking, its just that she has lost like variety... i mean we have the same foods every month... if anything she changes the ingredients just a little bit... so how do i come about talking to her about adding variety to our home cooked meals. for example like trying some chineese thai, french, italian etc. i dont want to hurt her feelings cause she takes pride in her cooking... any suggestions?

english italian or spanish italian translation?

how do i say "a little bit more" or "un poco más" in italian???

I absolutely love everything about the Italian culture!!! I think Italy is an amazingly beautiful place full of laid back and easy going people! I one day plan to visit there and hopefully live. xD But as of now I would like to brush up on my italian before I even plan a trip to travel there. Lol

I was hoping if anybody had any spare time to teach me some italian? It would be through email or messenger and whenever you felt like it! I have tried some websites and they were extremely helpful, but I would like to practice talking in italian to improve.

I know a little bit of it, so I'm not necessarily a hopeless cause. :) I have the alphabet and introduction stuff down, but I would like to learn a little bit more, so I can actually hold a conversation! Also just to learn about some neat things and places in Italy!

If your interested please send me an email on my profile and I will give you my msn or yahoo messenger. Thank you for your patience in reading this xD

Ciao!

Iv tried using translator's but they are all different. The best I could get is "Nello vite ćè solo morte, in modo vivere finché puoi". Im a little bit italian but no one in my family that is alive can speak it fluently.
Edit: whats does adding farlo mean/do?

I'm of white mixed descent (Anglo-Nordic) and my gf is Italian descent. Some people talk s*** about me sometimes or stare at me, because we have slightly different skin tones. I'm a little bit tanned, and she is white-oliveish, which is probably some reason why people stare, even though we both are Caucasian.

How do I have people (mostly other whites) to stop staring at me? Should I mace them?
